Stamford Tyres (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and STC Tyre Mart Sdn Bhd took part in two charity activities on 23rd October. Stamford Tyres Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Conson Sia led the respective sales, marketing and purchasing teams for Falken and Rovelo brand of tyres to participate in the charity activities as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR). Armed with gloves and trash bags, the teams picked up litter during the Bukit Wawasan Charity Hike in Puchong, which was their first activity of the day. Many participants expressed concern about the amount of litter that was found along the way. 

After the hike, the teams went to SJK (C) Shin Cheng (Harcroft), Puchong, where the second charity event took place. Conson was among the VIPs invited by Persatuan Kebajikan Rumah Victory Malaysia for its ‘Expansion of Elderly Home’ Charity Bazaar. The bazaar was organised with the aim to raise RM800,000 for the home’s expansion to accommodate more elderly people in a safe haven and shelter them within combined units.

Apart from the variety of food and items, there were game stalls and entertainment. Stamford Tyres Malaysia and STC Tyre Mart sponsored Falken and Rovelo merchandise items including Falken recycle bags, hand fans, towels, water mugs and Rovelo Travel organisers and umbrellas, with booths provided by Rumah Victory Malaysia. The proceeds were donated to Rumah Victory Malaysia for the elderly home expansion project.
